Us first year students were not exactly sure what to expect, but as November 4th grew closer we increasingly got more and more excited. The signs kept getting better too. At first it was just about catching the madness, then $2,000 in prizes were advertised, and finally, free 76ers tickets to the first 50 students and Wawa giftcards to the next 20. Not a bad deal.
There was only one way to find out what all the hype was about, so I decided to see this "Knight Madness" for myself. My friend Mona and I went an hour early in hopes of being one of the lucky few to get 76ers tickets. Despite an extremely long line (seen above,) we were some of the last few to receive the tickets (stayed tuned for updates on our trip to the Wells Fargo Center.)
The rest of our hall met up with us later and we all cheered for our athlete friends and hoped that our ticket numbers would be called to receive a Kindle, Ticketmaster giftcard, Target giftcard, iPod, or even a chance to make a half court shot and win $500 dollars. Unfortunately, none of us won, but we all had an amazing time showing our school spirit.
