On Saturday morning we teamed up with the Biology and Pre- Med clubs here at Arcadia and helped at the Annual Greater Philadelphia ALS Walk. We walked and volunteered in honor of my academic advisor, Dr. Wesley Rose. Nicole and I were assigned to hand out water to the walkers as the traveled the 2 mile course through and around Citizens Bank Park Stadium. It was freezing, but so much fun and it felt great to be helping with such an amazing cause.
Later in the day, we met with Elena and Savannah, our two best friends. Let me explain that Nicole and I did not know each other before coming to Arcadia, and Elena and Savannah did not know each other before going to Penn State... it's such a small world!
We decided to show them around our new home, Philadelphia. The LOVE Park, City Hall, and South Street were just a few of our stops in the city of brotherly love. We of course did not have time for everything the city has to offer, due to the wind and time, but Elena and Savannah definitely left impressed by all the things we have to do located so close to our campus.
That night, it was like we were 14 years old again at a slumber party. Along with the girls of 2nd Thomas, we gossiped, laughed about high school, and talked about boys. A much needed catching up was in order.
Sunday we stayed local and enjoyed coffee at Starbucks and girl time at the Willow Grove Mall.
